Ida mostly missed LBI but hammered home. Power went out. Streets flooded. We await a home damage report with great trepidation.
It's actually cold and windy here this morning. Looks like an arcade day. Yesterday morning the womenfolk went shopping. We wisely remained at the condo and worked. Sluggish but productive. We have one itty-bitty scene left to write for The Great Nuclear War of 1975. Between 75, 76, and The Weser we've pretty much cranked out 3 novels in a year. Goddamn. We are very good at what we do. Get ready, book deluge 2022.
We saw a lot of news yesterday about Texas' new baby heartbeat abortion law. Back in the 2000's we proposed forming a pro-life group called The John Brown Society. These days abortion isn't an issue we think about much. We're just not the rabid Abolitionist we once were. Heck, if you're a Texas Democrat we'll drive you to the state of your choice so you can get that abortion. More abortions mean fewer Democrats.
After further consultations with our man on the ground in Canada, it appears Justin is in serious trouble. We're a bit hard pressed to figure out why. Maybe Canadians are just sick of Prime Minister Me Me Me. It would seem O'Toole being a...(what's the Canadian Conservative version of a RINO?) blank slate is helping him. Is the dullness the point? Harper was dull but evil at the same time. Scary Stephen, a defunct Canadian blogger once called him. This blog doesn't care if O'Toole governs as Justin-light. Taking out that man-child would be worth it. Just thinking about Justin losing arouses us, sexually.
