The Last Saturday Update of January, 2022

Mrs. Stroock is still away dealing with family issues, leaving the six of us here: your author, three girls and two cats. We are consistently scoring Superior on the Dad Scale.

Progress of a sort we've made on The Great Nuclear War of 1975. We got an ebook proof from the formatter and had to apologize for being unclear. We need the softcover proof first.

The formatter sent us cover concepts and we like one of them, though they don't seem under understand what we meant when we said, 'Air Force One should be on the cover'. We suspect the designer is a Millennial or Zoomer, and not getting the Cold War nuclear annihilation thing. They gave us one cover with an F-18, another with the Russian flag. May 1st is the very latest publication date.

Moving on...A few weeks ago we didn't want to read a paper copy of The Great Salvation of 1976 but feel up to it now - it's for the best. We need to get down in there and figure out what, if anything must needs be added. Soon enough. We'll send the MS to the editor by end of February at the latest. There's only so much more we can do. At some point one has to step back and say, 'This is the novel, kid.'

On to the big one...We spent all week hammering away at The Final Storm to great success. We'll need another week to finish up the SAS chapter - at least. We'll be much further along by Friday, we can say that. We're quite pleased with how things are going. Closing in on 70,000 words.

Sitting in a small office in the basement of the GRU is a low-level officer fresh out of the academy who's tasked with monitoring Google Earth. We'll call him Ivan. No....Ivan isn't in the office, Ivana is. She's six feet tall, with long blonde hair and blue eyes like traffic lights. Her favorite Superhero is Wonder Woman; the costume she wore at the GRU's annual Halloween party. Ivana wants to move to Paris to pursue her dream of modeling, [Idiot-Ed] Anyway...Ivana is probably wondering, 'Why does this Amerikanski keep zooming in on Kremlin? Comrade Captain, open a dossier on subject, da?' to which the captain replies, 'I got a dossier for you right here.' Time for some Glasnost, and a little Perestroika afterwards.

From what music video did we snip this?
