Saturday Updates

We've been eating a lot of red meat lately but have suffered no gout. Lots of water, cherry extract and cherry supplement.

A great week of gym + walking. This program of treadmill + rower + Stairmaster + rope pulley + bike twice a week and walking twice a week is working great. We'd post pics, but this isn't that kind of blog.

The Stroock family will be taking in a Somerset Patriots game tonight.

The things.

Our reader got back to us about World War 1990: The Weser and after pointing out some mistakes and making a few suggestions, is pleased.

Our editor is working through The Great Salvation of 1976 and says she likes it.

The New American order is 22,000 words. We were hoping for 25,000 by the end of the month. Still, not bad at all. We need to write one more scene for the 1977 chapter. We moved on to 1978, the reestablish sovereignty chapter, and things are going well. We're toying with the idea of an ARVN officer leading a special strike force. We can't call him Nimh, right? Right.

We're Ludendorffing. This is a writer's term invented by me just now, and refers to a writer bouncing around his MS. During the Hun's 1918 spring offensive General Erich Ludendorff kept shifting forces from one axis of advance to another in search of a weak spot and breakthrough. Usage example, 'I started one chapter but moved to another chapter when I felt the ju-ju there. I really Ludendorffed.'

Tomorrow is May Day, comrades, and we may or may not have some announcements for the rest of spring and our summer plans.
