Over the last month, we've kept our phone screen time under three hours.
Why is this blog getting traffic from Burkina-Faso? Welcome guys, feel free to say hello.
Oh, and there's five visitors from Hungary. God bless Viktor Orban.
And six visitors from Russia. Welcome, comrades....You are making slow but steady progress in glorious war of liberation.
[I can never tell if you're really rooting for the Russians-Ed]
That's the way we like it. Seriously, what will all these newfound Ukraine super-fans do when Zelensky agrees to a bad peace deal? We know what we'll do.
Stroock's Books is weirdly enthused about Dr. Oz winning the GOP senate nomination in Pennsylvania. What's up with that?
The Critical Drinker, who is always right, participates in an interesting discussion on George R.R. Martin and finishing one's work. Confession, we've never read the man. We understand GoT fandom is waiting for Martin to finish the Winds of Winter. The Drinker, himself an author, points out that writers have a responsibility to finish the story.
Quite right. [Really? You ended Israel Strikes: War of the Red Sea with a cliffhanger. Every once in a while someone shows up on this blog asking where the third novel is, and you tell them to fuck off-Ed].
Yes. It's not that we've lost our passion for the Israel Strikes universe, it's just that our planned third novel got overtaken by events (Israel was going to fight an all out war against the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt. Also, let's just say we're getting our armored warfare fix). We really don't know what would happen next in the Israel Strikes series. We can't whack the Iranians around anymore.
But there's plenty we can do in the World War 1990 series. The Weser will be book number, let's count...book number eight. Not bad for a series that was supposed to be one book about NATO leaders arguing over what to do next. We've done some interesting and unique things. We're working on The Final Storm (speaking of wrapping up the story) and thinking about other books while we do so.
To be clear, The Final Storm ends World War Three, but not the World War 1990 series. You people are waiting for The Final Storm to see how the war ends. We know how the war ends. We wrote the final scene years ago. We're writing The Final Storm because we want to cross it off the list and move on to the next project.
You are way better than George RR Martin man that guy is so overrated when the TV show come out I tried to watch it couldn't get past the first episode than tried to read the books thinking maybe they would be better but got half way thru and decided this stuff is just trash if anyone wants a new fantasy series to read go find a David Gemmel book they are way better
ReplyDeleteWell that's right nice of you to say, sir.
