Hurricanes Blow

There's a college football joke in there someplace....take it away, SEC fans.

Back from the dentist....just a little gum inflammation, nothing to worry about. Unlike the English we've always been blessed with good teeth. [You cheeky Yank-Ed] In fact, we've notice the more we do to our teeth, flossing, etc, the more problems we have. After forty years with this set, we've only a few cavities, and usually go to the dentist once per decade. Okay, we've schedule a cleaning but that's it.

Our heart is with Florida this morning. Last year Hurricane Ida blew through New Jersey and wrecked our basement. The books are still in boxes in the utility room. A decade ago we endured Sandy. It seemed like that storm settled right over our house. We had a new born and no power for four days. Mrs. Stroock took the kids to stay with relatives while we held down the house against the elements and looters. Reader(s) know what this neighborhood is like. Ever since the left hand side of our garage is stacked with firewood. Again, stay safe, Florida.

We've noticed lately that it takes more and more effort to get writing in the morning. Once we get going, the process is fine, but getting going takes a while. We almost feel like an old athlete getting out of bed the day after the game. Hmmm....

World War 1990: The Final Storm is divided into two parts. We've been working on Part-I all month but can't shake the feeling that it isn't good enough. We're bored and we suspect readers will be bored too. We're changing strategies and putting Part-I down, maybe permanently. Long time reader(s) will recall Battle of the Three Seas was a hard slog too.

Next week we'll start reading through Part-II, where the action is, lots of stuff blowing up.  Let's see how Part-II looks and hope we can get it ship shape by 1 November. Those of you who are religious, pray to the god of your choice. End File.

The Final Storm may/probably will need a tonne of reworking.

On the gripping hand we're quite pleased with The New American Order.
