Saturday Updates

A good morning to the Stroock's Books Continuum.

The first week of school is complete. No casualties. Preparations for tremendous things this autumn begin, including Middle Daughter's bot mitzvah.

Our French seems to be coming along well but we are worried. Once again, we can make our way through the lessons but it just isn't sticking. I dunno.

Fans of something called the Shamrock Rovers chanted 'Lizzie in a Box' upon hearing of the Queen's death. Decorum prevents us from saying what we think should happen to these chappies. There's many reasons why we're writing a World War 1990 novel about Britain thumping Ireland and the IRA. This is one of those reasons. Oh, and stop telling lies about the British, harfoot. God save the King.

The things.

As we write this, World War 1990: The Weser is number 15 in its Amazon category. Nice work, people.

The Aftermath of 1976 is going to the editor this week.

We read a fair amount of World War 1990: The Final Storm and are generally pleased. The first 20-30 thousand words set up The Final Storm and future novels. We think this week we'll take a look at the Georgia and battle of the Roki tunnel scenes.

We spent all week working on The New American Order. The 1980 chapter is coming along well, and quickly, though choppily. We've written eight scenes, all about President Rockefeller's address at the Republican National Convention. We've done some random vignettes updating characters in previous books and have wracked our brain wondering who readers would want to see again. The 1980 chapter is almost done.  The novel is 70,000 words.
