Giants 31, Vikings 24. Wow. The Giants first playoff victory since 2011. On a personal note, the Giants' victory ends a decade of football frustration and cynicism. After the Vikings last play, we said to Mrs. Stroock, 'That's it, right? That's the game?' We damn near got emotional there for a second. New York sports pope Mike Francesa has some insights. Stroock's Books make no predictions but we've always thought the Giants were the kind of team we wouldn't want to meet in the playoffs. 

Giant's quarterback Daniel Jones had a hell of a game. Reminder, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is not a top tier quarterback. 

That late roughing the passer call on the Giants was crap. Exit question: was the league on the phone with the refs telling them they wanted the Vikings to advance?*

An English friend told us he was concerned that if Scotland seceded (Freeedooooom!) it would be a weak unstable state. We replied that he was right to be concerned. A weak Scotland could invite another Scandanavian invasion.

World War 1990: The Final Storm. We're going to call this The Final Fek. We had been thinking that we were over doing things with pilot briefings and then pilots out on the tarmac.
