Will's Good Idea for the Week of 1/29/23

Saturday services yesterday. We should do these more often, as it gives us/the girls something to do in the morning. When Middle Daughter complained we said, 'You ain't got nuthin' else goin' anyhow. Move it, blondie.'

Pizza last night. 

In comments, the leader of this blog's Confederate Contingent, and Memphis resident, has some thoughts on the Tyre Nichols police murder and we urge reader(s) to check them out. We remain baffled and awestruck by the cops' on-camera incompetence. 'Gimme your hands!' ought to be their epitaph.  

Well, it's game day again and Mrs. Stroock's Philadelphia Eagles will be hosting the San Francisco 49rs. This blog likes the Eagles in a game that starts off close but in which the Eagles pull away in the 4th quarter. They have the better QB. Meanwhile the Kansas City Chiefs are playing the Cincinatti Bengals. Chiefs' head coach Andy Reid is awful in big games. This game will come down to the Chief's banged up QB Patrick Mahoms. 

Everything the Israeli Diaspora Minister says is true: 'I think that the Palestinian Authority, as of today, is the enemy of the State of Israel. We still do not have any peace agreement with it. It is an enemy entity, an entity that is antisemitic to its core, and we need to examine alternatives to it,' The Israeli and Jewish left would make peace with the Gazans and West Bank People at any price. Never forget that. There can be no peace with them, only victory over them. 

Tomorrow we'll begin writing World War 1990: Norway. We'll start in Oslo, with the military chief of staff briefing the Norwegian PM on each front, and then write a scene for that front. In this way we'll set the stage, intro major characters and themes, and describe Norwegian forces.  Norway will have a bit of differentiation from The Weser, which has a bit of differentiation from Nederland which has a bit of differentiation from Three Seas, etc etc. 

Will's good idea for the week of 1/29/23. A reader from a European country whose ancestors have an NFL team named after them, said he'd love to see a nuke novel set 20-30 years in the future. At this point there's really no reason not to do a nuke short story comp, as we've mentioned before. We've also been setting things up for future novels, if we want to write them. This is one of the reasons were taking things slow with finishing The New American Order and the future history. What do you people wanna know about? What's happening with BLANK in the year 1993, or some such.
