Jews in Space and the House

When did this blog morph into a personal diary?

What Will's Watching: Europa Report. A manned mission to Europa to crack the ice and see what lies in the ocean beneath. Rote, yes. But extremely well done.  The space and Europa shots were perfect. If one's read Arthur C. Clarke one will know exactly where this movie is going. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this film. Well executed. Watch the trailer here. 4/4

Red Letter Media watches the Night Court reboot and makes an excellent observation. The 2020's are a humorless time and therefore jokes are verboten. So the Night Court reboot can't have a never-ending parade of freaks, weirdos and miscreants. Making fun of them might trigger someone, or something. But that was half the fun of Night Court.

Recall that John Larroquette played a careerist rake in Stripes, a proto-Dan Fielding. In the 90's he starred in his own show, playing a more thoughtful and introverted recovering alcoholic and aspiring writer, John Hemingway.  We're not familiar with his 21st century work. In the Night Court reboot, John Larroquette's 70-year-old version of Dan Fielding just doesn't have the same energy as 35-year-old Dan Fielding. Why would he? Larroquette's closer to Hemingway now than Fielding.*

Breaking! The House of Representative has voted to remove Representative Ilhan Omar (J**-Mogadishu) from the Foreign Affairs Committee. Now send her home. The Lovely Ladies of The Squad are hysterical. They're cut when they're mad. Listen, honey. Go home, poor yourself a big glass of wine, slip into warm bath and put on your 50 Shades audio book.

Israel's ambassador reminds us that today Israeli Air Force Colonel Ilon Ramon was among 7 astronauts killed in the Shuttle Columbia disaster 20 years ago today. Ilon shows up in The Final Storm

*JFC, Larroquette was in Star Trek III?

**For Jihadi.
