Will's Good Idea for the Week of 3/19/23

Our weekend yardwork plan continues apace. Out in the yard yesterday, raking and tilling, and clearing out the beds on the sides of the house, where we still have some rose bushes and lilacs. We may raze them and start over. Great exercise and a nice way to spend the afternoon. Later we got some excellent Italian food and took the girls out for ice cream. Everyone is pleased.

Mrs. Stroock departs for Philly this afternoon.

As the great Stephen L. Miller said, you Dems really wanna go down this path, huh? [Shrugs] okay...Right now the interwebs are infested with Feds typing, 'We must take back our country by any means necessary! Time for MAGA to rally!' Normally we'd go into our Qanan bit and claim we have inside info on a major Q action on Tuesday, but na. We're not giving them the excuse. Having been to several local Trump rallies in 2020 all we can say is, be smart. Stay home. It's a trap. Anyone advocating violence is a Fed.

Well, we asked REDACTED if they wanted a column from us this week about the 20th anniversary of the Iraq war. REDACTED replied, 'Sure,' and 'that China column of yours we've been sitting on for two months will be coming out this week.' The column never came out. No China column, no Iraq column. We think REDACTED is trying to get rid of us. [You never do know when you're not wanted-Ed] True.

Our expansion efforts have not gone well. Does it really matter? None of these side efforts seem to do what I really want them to do, which is sell books. Anyway, we miss Maxim. We'd ask, 'You want a wrap on the weekly doings here in America?' he'd reply, 'Da, Comrade Will.' We'd send the piece in Thursday night and see it published Friday morning. Payment on time and in the full amount too. Many, many rubles. We had to chase down REDACTED for our money, and don't get us started on those bastards at Decision Games who stiffed us.

Related: Wills Good Idea for 3/19/23. Why not set up a parody Twitter account for one of our book characters? Below:

General Natan Nagid, IDF (Retired)

GOC, Operation Big Cedars.

Author: Not Peace, but Victory: Crushing the Palestinians and Establishing Eretz Israel

Could be fun, no?

Exit questions. Can Gabby AI generate a decent picture of an Israeli general?

  1. Rereading The Weser (which I think is your best book in the series). Whatever happened to the 211th ACR & Major Dawson? I don't recall them showing up - were they deployed in Polish Storm?
