We did not have attempted coup by mercenary warlord on our Ukraine War bingo card. As we write this a Wagner Group column is making its way toward Moscow. Wagner forces occupy the army headquarters in Rostov. We've been following events via a few Russian Twitter accounts and Russia Today, which at least tells us what the Kremlin is thinking.* What's going to happen? We've no idea. Prigozhen either has things totally squared away or is totally nuts. We can tell reader(s) that Stroock's Books takes its orders from the Kremlin, whoever occupies it...comrades.
Speaking of....we're slowly making our way through the SAS assault on REDACTED in World War 1990: The Final Storm. We are pleased with the progression.
We are also pleased with our progress on the Battle of Lingyen Fjord in World War 1990: Norway. Events are playing out, details are being added, characters and characterization are coming together. This chapter is about a Soviet Amphibious convoy making its way down the fjord and battling various Norwegian forces. These include a fortress and Hauk Class Fast Attack Craft. The Ruski's target is the headquarters of the Froy Defence Line at the south end of the fjord. They'll get some help from above. Again, we're quite pleased. 19,000 words.
We have the traditional, end of the school year dance recital for all three girls today and tomorrow.
