Will Gets Uked

Hunter Biden is having a great, great week. Congrats.

The Times of Israel reports: 'Israeli settler vigilantes tore through several Palestinian towns in the West Bank following a deadly shooting attack on a nearby settlement Tuesday night, setting cars and fields on fire, vandalizing homes and terrorizing residents in a grim repeat of an incident some termed a pogrom earlier this year.'

The riots come after the murder of two Israelis at the hands of a WBP. To be clear, Stroock's Books condemns Israeli vigilante violence. But after decades of West Bank Person and Gazan terror it is not surprising that some Israelis have turned to rioting. Afterall, it works for BLM/Antifa. Violence will beget violence. And here we are.

So the Pentagon found another $6.2 billion to send to Ukraine. Good thing.  The BBC tells us: 'President Volodymyr Zelensky has acknowledged battlefield progress has been "slower than desired", weeks into Ukraine's military offensive to recapture areas occupied by Russia.' We really had been wondering if the real Ukrainian Counteroffensive™ had yet to happen. But no. This is it. This is the counteroffensive.*

The Ukrainians and the Elites expected Russian morale to collapse once the Russians saw the dread Leopard tank on the battlefield, didn't they?  Soon will follow the dread F-16, for certain. That'll do it. Right? Right? Sure.

No matter how much NATO gives Ukraine, it is never enough. Sean Bell of Sky News laments Ukraine's lack of air support and suggests a solution. 'The only credible way to provide Ukraine with the air capability required for this year's offensive would be for the West to intervene and commit Western assets - and crews - to the conflict.' The West, by which he means America, no doubt.

[Don't you have anything positive to say this morning? Why all the constant harping on Ukraine?-Ed]

No, and because the media had a narrative about Ukraine, as they have a narrative about everything. That narrative was/is false. Well okay...

2003 and Me, June. It's happening now. We're coming off a successful gig substitute teaching and looking forward to a summer of study and writing. We're taking two classes in our MA program, Soldiers of the American Revolution and The Southern Campaign of the American Revolution. We produced a great paper on Nathanael Greene, which we've never gotten published, by the way. Should have majored in the Civil War. Damn. We begin the morning at a local coffee shop, the Daily Grind in Bedminster. We're writing a Line Through the Desert in earnest now, from 3-5 in the afternoon after which we go for a jog through bucolic Peapack. We actually listen to music while writing, as part of our Led Zeppelin renaissance. [Gee wonder why they show up in ALTD-Ed] Exactly. At this point in the process, we've no idea what we're doing and feel the novel will be completed by the end of the summer. Go ahead and laugh. That being said most of the opening part ended up in the final version of A Line Through the Desert. Oh, we've also been hired to teach at a second rate Yeshiva in Passaic. We've no idea what we're getting into.

We read three more scenes of the SAS's attack on REDACTED in World War 1990: The Final Storm. Once again we are pleasantly surprised.

*Could still be a grand strategic ruse-Ed.
