Ukraine has Always Planned 'Limited Gains'

The offensive has been paused by Klaus Schwab or whoever the Ukrainian's supreme commander is. Soviet Russian tactics of drawing NATO Ukrainian forces to a village and then counterattacking have been highly effective. 

Is the 'pause' and 'disappointment' consensus, or conventional wisdom, or dare it be said, the narrative? Because the narrative is always a lie, or at best, the truth manipulated. Whatever the narrative, from either side, the Ukes still haven't even reached the Ruski's first belt of fortifications. This article claiming the Ukes are looking for the 'weak link' in the Ruski defense chain is pure fantasy. Why use vaunted Leopards and Bradleys in probing attacks? 

It is clear that NATO badly underestimated the Russians. An easy mistake. Last year we underestimated the Ukrainians and assumed the Russian's initial airborne assault on Kiev was going to succeed. Again, the narrative was that the Ukranian grand counteroffensive was going to drive cowardly Wagner mercs into the Azov Sea. Hasn't happened, not yet. 

We read the first three scenes of the SAS assault on REDACTED in World War 1990: The Final Storm, and were pleasantly surprised. We briefly toyed with the idea of axing the airstrike scenes, which would give us a crisp, tight novel of about 65,000 words. A fellow North American asked us, 'Are you fucking nuts?' in so many words.
