Will's Israeli and Hollwood News Whip Around

We have a full week to ourselves. We've already reached the too many cigars and too much booze phase of the saga. We'll be clean today.

The Times of Israel reports on a big anti-terror op in Jenin. 'Israeli military forces launched a major operation in the West Bank city of Jenin early Monday morning focused on the city’s restive refugee camp, with airstrikes carried out against multiple targets. A senior government official said that “the goal of this extensive operation is to end Jenin’s role as a ‘city of refuge’ for terror, and it will last as long as it needs to.”  Israel Radar has live updates and analysis.

Meanwhile the Israelis are about to remove a Hezbollah outpost just inside the border (Israel promises war if necessary) and bombed an ammo depot in Syria. Reminder,  Israel faces a three-front war; Gaza, Lebanon and Judea/Samaria. This is Netanyahu's skill set. Man, if he was the guy that took out Iran's nukes, what a legacy. He'd be the greatest Jew since...[Don't say it-Ed] Charlton Heston!

The riots continue apace in France. Macron is a weakling. Imagine trying to riot in Warsaw, Budapest or dare it be said, Moscow. But in the West, rioting works. Remember the elites are happy with these riots, and we'll see them here in America in 2024. President Trump made a terrible mistake when he didn't send the army into the streets to crush BLM/Antifa. Just another reason to support someone else in 2024.

Russian blogger Lord Bebo expects Ukrainian counteroffensive to start again within days. 'Russian sources estimate that around 40.000 Ukrainian soldiers are concentrated at the Zaporozhia front. It is expected that a big offensive rush will be tried again by Ukraine before the NATO summit next week.' If one is to follow The Narrative*, then this will be the big breakthrough the Uke and NATO are looking for. Predictions? We have none. So far, the Ukes haven't accomplished much. We'll see if they've learned anything. Exit question, what reason do we have to believe an attack on the Zaporozhia Front will be any different.

Reviews are in for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Here's the Red Letter Media review. As soon as we saw the review up we thought 'Oh, my god!' It's not even that bad, RLM says, just meh, dull. The film brought in 60 million over the weekend.** We're told this is a very meh number.  'Great treatment,' someone should have said, 'Now bring me some good ideas.' Instead, we get this trash with a too old Harrison Ford and a toxic Phoebe Waller-Bridge. We tried watching her Flee Bag show, disgusting. A textbook case of toxic femininity. Waller-Bridge is one of those unfunny comedians who fails up because the elites like her. See also Ben Davidson, Awkwafina, etc etc. And don't get us started on that Kathleen Kennedy woman.

Moving on to good movies...What Will's Watching: Uncommon Valor. An obvious choice in so many ways for us, but it's been a long, long time since we've seen Uncommon Valor. There's plenty of tropes (getting the band back together, training montage, self-sacrifice) plenty of stock characters (the wild man, the cool dude, the sensitive one, the young one). They didn't seem stock to us when we first saw Uncommon Valor when we were a kid. What a battle scene at the end. This film is perfectly executed in every way. It's Uncommon Valor week here at Stroock's Books. 4/4

The leader of this blog's Confederate Contingent asks about Norwegian troops caught behind enemy lines in World War 1990: Norway. We have just such a story line, a group of Home Guard troops outside of Banak. He reminds us that we should be including them in the intervening chapters. We actually don't know what they're going to do, though. Could be a 'for want of a nail' situation.

*The Narrative is never based on truth, but on what the Regime wants you to believe.

**On movies, always trust John Nolte.
