Dispatches from the Jersey Shore, the 5th Day

Actually it rained for a couple of hours yesterday morning. But the storm system passed, the sun came out and we enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach followed by some pool time. There followed takeout, sunset bayside, a twin guitar concert at the park across the street. Today the weather is gonna suck, wind and clouds. Mother!@#$%!.

There's a vibe to this place. It's a vibe of beach and breeze and sand and sun poking through the clouds in the morning. People going to and fro, sun tans, bathing suits, seagulls, anchors, boat wheels, rope, alcohol, people generally enjoying themselves. The sun. We like the vibe.

Mitch McConnell froze up, or something the other day. He should resign. Now.  To quote Cromwell, in the name of god, go. What are Kentucky's laws on replacing a senator? Who cares? We don't. We are 100 percent comfortable with Kentucky's Democrat governor replacing McConnell. It doesn't matter. But striking down McConnellism does matter. What's McConnellism? McConnellism is winning huge congressional margins and doing nothing. We've seen McConnellism for 30 years. We shall explore this concept further in a future post. Remember the word, McConnellism.

We've spent a lot of time thinking about World War 1990: Norway. We've got three major chapters left to write, and then the epilogue. This will almost certainly be NATO destroying the Northern Fleet. We're on track for a rough draft done by 1 October. Then we can spend October sharpening things up. We'll be watching a lot of YouTube vids.

We are nagged by World War 1990: The Final Storm.

We expect clear skies by 1 January. What then? If anything. [What do you mean, if anything?-] I dunno.
