Good morning, Citizens of the Democratic People's Republic of Stroockonia.
We are rested and sore after two decent night's sleep. Mrs. Stroock took the girls swimming yesterday, that's where things are now. Our body feels like it's recovering from a great week at the gym. Which makes us wonder of all that hobbling around is a workout.
We're reading about politics a lot less. But we can't quite keep away from Ace of Spades. Ace is having too much fun, as the great Robert Stacy McCain says. But our consumption is down, a lot, especially after deleting our Twitter account. We still have a burner for reading a few things, Cerno, Stephen L. Miller. But the doom scroll is gone.
Spanish, we've called it. Civil War, haven't picked up a book in 10 days. Exit question: we will need something to read at the beach, no? Perhaps it's a good chance to restart our study of the War Between the States. For a brief moment, watching Rome we thought...
At this time one week from now we'll be packing the car to go down the shore. And that will be the end of summer. We still get a bit morose at that. Heck, we started worrying about the end of summer in early July. It's July 3rd, we told ourselves. Enjoy your summer. And so we have...And so we have.
We got into a FBI argument with a football illiterate about Eli Manning. You know, some people think you play to win the games, to win the super bowl. They're wrong. It's far more important to rack up gaudy, fantasy-football friendly stats. Who among us wouldn't want Philip Rivers or Matt Ryan over Eli Manning? Two-time super bowl MVP. Who cares? The things.
Being tethered to our computer we actually had a great work week.
We have read World War 1990: Norway through to the attack on Tromso. We are quite pleased with what we read. We have a few set up scenes to ad, but overall things are in good shape, and we're prepped for another counterattack on Tromso week. We outlined the chapter and everything. Carrier air group...Marine Cobras (that's going to be suicide, right?), Super Etenards, Canadian CF-5s...
We have completed the read through of World War 1990: The Final Storm. We are pleased with the SAS raid on REDACTED chapter. We are also pleased with the aftermath chapter, 'Maggie did what?' We may need a couple of scenes for the EBS activation chapter.
We'll be making a few tweaks this week before letting it sit for one last time after which we'll...we're not sure what we'll do. We'll either read TFS again or get it edited.
