The Imans are right....

We went to bed as Arabs took to the streets, Iran tweeted cryptic messages, and we ourselves wondered if Hezbollah and/or Iran would jump into the war. We're writing this cold so let's go see what the Times of Israel says...Nope. No wider war. So far.

Hot Air has the coverage of the Gaza hospital blast yesterday. If you ever thought the blast was an Israeli bomb, then we have some Arkansas real-estate opportunities you're going to love. An Israeli JDAM would have left a smoldering crater where the hospital once was. The facts don't matter though, and the Arab world is enraged.  Click the link to see a screen shot of the Hamas hospital press conference. The Arab is subtle, isn't he?

Mission accomplished though. The Biden/Arab summit is cancelled. Arabs throughout the world are rioting. And a synagogue in Berlin was firebombed. Life imitates Israel Strikes. We haven't heard so much talk of Arab rage and the Arab street since the post 9/11 days.

That's a job well done by the Israeli government, who within an hour found the Gazan missile launch site, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad message that the barrage was coming, showed how the barrage passed over the hospital, captured al Jazeera and cctv footage of the blast, and intercepted a Hamas phone call saying a missile hit a hospital. The Imams are right. The Jew is clever.

Upon landing in Israel, Biden said the right things and his meeting with Bibi appears to have gone well. We await the aftermath of the larger scheduled briefing and subsequent leaks. So far, so good. We don't know the internal machinations of the White House, history will tell us those. But again, this blog can't complain about the administration's handling of the crisis. Exit question: When will we see the first leaks about dissent in the White House?

On to nicer things.

Mrs. Stroock's Phillies gave the Diamondbacks a 10-0 smackdown last night to take a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series. It was glorious. We are pleased. The Phillies have the best infield in baseball, and third basement Alec Bohm should win a gold glove.

The World War 1990: Norway readthrough is going exceptionally well. The narrative looks good. We're finding problems and fixing them. That's always a good sign.

Monday Metal, emergency post. Guess who Will's seeing on 24 November in Philly:
