Saturday Bored

Well, it's Saturday and the family is in Indiana and we're here by ourselves and we've nothing much to do other than laundry. We hit the gym yesterday and will do our 5 miler this afternoon preparatory to afternoon and evening football. So why not get a post or two or three up?

The kindle and paperback versions of World War 1990: The Final Storm are out. That's the ninth novel in the World War 1990 series, which takes readers to the end of the war. World War Three has ended but World War 1990 is not done. Not hardly.

Not bad for an idea that was supposed to be a one-off novel about NATO leaders standing over a map saying, 'Attack there.' We've come a long, long way since World War 1990: Operation Arctic Storm. We barely remember it, which is why we have people on call to ask, 'What was the thing with the guy in the place?'

There, we got two novels out in 2023, even if one of them didn't come out till the very end of the year. Still counts! And dang, our Future Projects page says World War 1990: The Final Storm comes out in December. Look at us, on deadline and everything! By our count that's 20 novels published. Whoops, looks like The New American Order was our 20th novel. So 21 novels.

That's 21 novels since we realized we were a writer, and got pieces accepted for publication and began writing a novel, A Line through the Desert. That all began in 2003. There's a reason we think about 2003 a lot and periodically blog 2003 and Me. What a year, 20 years on.
