Bad Week Looming

We mowed the lawn yesterday and then hit the weights. Our back let us know about it this morning. We're getting another downpour today, so it's a good thing we got in the mowing yesterday. 

Israel Update: As we write, the IDF is battling Hamas in eastern Rafah. Israel Radar has two encouraging reports. First, the Israelis have more than enough ammo for current needs. Second, the Israeli aerospace sector is selling billions in anti-missile technology. Also, The Times of Israel reports that billions in American weapons are already 'in the pipeline'. The State Department is about to report that Israel is not violating International law in Gaza, though the report will be critical and that will be the headline. Israeli singer Eden Golan has advanced to the Eurovision song contest finals. We're not kidding. That's a huge deal. Still, probably a bad week for Israel. 

What Will's Watching, Young Sheldon: 'I got a bad feeling about this,' we said to Middle Daughter as the third act of the show was being set up. Fans of The Big Bang Theory knew this was coming. But damn you Young Sheldon. Damn you all to hell.  We love how George's boss and friend deliver the news, they're duty to their late friend. Well done. We're getting downright emotional.

Writing the War Night Lexington chapter, we realize we're pushing the boundaries of canon a bit. Recall in The Great Nuclear War of 1975 Matt Cooper doesn't think the crisis is all that big a deal, and he drops off his wife and son at the airport. The war seems to pop up out of nowhere. But in Lexington the city is starting to shut down and empty out, there are bank runs, fights breaking out at gas stations, etc etc. It's not a huge problem because we never dealt with run up to the war in 75. Anyway, we've still got to write Lexington's end. How long till the city is nuked? Where is there mayor? In Lexington or at the alternate command post in Athens, east of the city.
