Oh look, a new title on the way

Good Wednesday, Stroock's Books assembled. We see the real Ed stopped by in comments yesterday to give us the berating we deserve and enjoy. 

We mowed the lawn yesterday, which at our age is a solid workout, and then hit the weights. With exercise three days in a row, we feel totally based.

Hmmm we don't have anywhere to go today and have certainly earned a day off from the gym. Cigar and chianti time? We dunno, man. It's only been a week since the last one. And just the other day we were telling ourselves to go the rest of the month without. Upon this question, we shall dwell.

Spain, Ireland and Norway are recognizing a Palestinian state. Of course, Spain has a long history of Jew hatred, while Ireland is a little country which didn't really have a strong opinion either way about the events of the 20th century. No one cares what Ireland thinks. Norway is a lost cause. Does it matter? There will be a steady trickle of small nations doing the same. So we'll say yes it matters. The Biden Regime has already scoffed at unilateral recognition. Good on Joe once more.

The US has 'approved' Israeli 'limited' plans for operations in Rafah. In recent weeks the Israelis have shown 'pinpoint'* operations work. Even France, which supports the ICC warrant requests for Netanyahu and Gallant say comparisons between Israel and Hamas are ludicrous. Macron also says 'conditions have not been met' for a Palestinian state. 

Damn straight. Jewish Insider reports: 'Ahead of testimony on Capitol Hill on Thursday by Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway, hundreds of Jewish Rutgers students, faculty, administrators and staff signed onto a pair of letters condemning the school’s handling of antisemitism on campus.' Rutgers is our preferred destination for Oldest Daughter. We'll be watching said testimony with great interest. 

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (Wanker), has called an election for July 4th. [Bloody hell. Sunak's giving you Yanks another victory -Ed]. He sure is. The Tories will almost certainly be annihilated, annihilated with extreme prejudice. Good. Not since the Israeli Labor Party has a western political party deserved destruction as thoroughly as the conservatives. They won a historic victory in 2019 and then...did nothing but cower before the covid regime. There's a Zero Seats movement on the internet, calling for British conservatives to not vote Tory. This blog endorses Zero Seats. 

Dune Part-2 premiered on HBO Max. We began our third viewing last night. This is certainly the kind of movie that gets better the more one watches. And look, this fall a new Dune television series launches, Dune: Prophesy. The more we think about it, the more we approach Dune: Prophesy with great fear and trepidation. The show is about the Bene Gesserit religious order. So it's going to be chick centered. That means lots of drama...and/or...girl boss characters. 

We're toying with the idea of restarting a Twitter-X account under our own name. Probably a bad idea. 

We might (might) have an idea for the WWII alternate history collection to which we've been asked to contribute.
