Wrong Trump, Right Israel

Good morning, Stroock's Books people and assorted reader(s). As we write this the temperature outside is 1 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Soon they'll be using American Freedom Units in Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal. Oh, Panama? We're not asking.   

We've got a regular army MASH hospital here with all daughters home from school.

Our new washer and dryer will be delivered today. Preparatory to delivery we cleaned out the laundry room. Ew, the crap we found under the old washer and dryer.  

Trump is dead wrong with this Tik Tok thing. Eight years ago we would have argued Trump was playing some kind of 4D chess. That's not what he's doing today, and we really don't know what Trump's game is here. In any event, he's wrong and acting unlawfully. Someone should bring the administration to court and stop this illegal Tik Tok business.

The Babylon Bee reports on the death of Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards. 'NEW YORK — A clump of cells became no longer viable earlier this week at the age of 67.' When the Bee is right, the Bee is right, 'At publishing time, the non-viable clump of cells had narrowly avoided having its parts sold to make money for other clumps of cells within its clump-of-cells-killing philanthropic organization.'  Decorum and pride prevent us from loosening a full volley, but we will say Richards was a ghoul. She would have eaten Hansel and Grettle and called it choice. 

Israeli military chief of staff General Dan Halevi and the other service chiefs have resigned, siting October 7th failures. We've nothing but questions. Is the first phase of this long war over? Is Iran next? Hmmmm the service chiefs are gone but Netanyahu remains. Has he won some kind of power struggle? Note, Halevi will leave his post in March. 

Related, Elise Stefanik, Trump's nominee to be UN ambassador sounds like a regular Daniel Patrick Moynihan.* JNS reports that Stefanik said Israel has 'biblical claims' to Judea and Samaria. Which is just good politics in America. The Hill reports on a new Harvard-Harris Poll, ' An overwhelming majority of Americans support Israel in its war against Hamas over the militant group running the Gaza Strip, according to a new poll. The Harvard CAPS-Harris survey shared with The Hill showed 80 percent of registered voters said they support Israel more in the war, while 20 percent said they support Hamas more.' We're cautiously optimistic about the tide of Juden hass in America receding. To quote Lee Greenwood, God bless the USA. 

We read through the Morning Rory story in War Night yesterday. It's fine, though we are not 100 percent satisfied. Only the Australia story remains. 

Progress continues apace with the Saigon on the Thames story. Paragraph by paragraph by paragraph we're writing the fall of London.
