Ennui and I

Good afternoon, Stroock's Books people.

Youngest Daughter is home sick again. Older Daughters picked up after return from Model UN confab in NYC. This being Chindia, we spotted our girls right away in the parking lot as they were the only blondes, if you know what we mean. What a nerdfest, nerdpocalypse, nerdogeddon, nerdacaust....

We'll have spring like temperatures here today, with the mercury climbing to 65 degrees.

We got in a weightlifting session yesterday.

Bla-bla, Israeli negotiations...bla-bla the IAF bombed INSERT in INSERT.

So...Trump is deporting the terrorist Mahmoud Khalil and Democrats have risen to defend him. The Dems didn't stand up to defend Laken Riley or a cancer stricken 13 year old at Trump's congressional address. This is not about the man but the fight. Pick more such fights, Mr. Trump.

NJ.com says the Covid pandemic began 5 years ago today, whatever that means. But yes, as we recall the lockdowns began in mid-March. The girls brought all their crap home from school and wiped it down and left it in the sun. There followed...a bunch of lies for which no one will ever be held accountable. Fauci is a hero to the mentally deranged. Killer Andy C. may well be the next mayor of New York. Gruesome Gavin Newsom is still dining at the French Toilette or whatever it's called. We'd go on, but we're starting to get angry.

So we asked on FB if fans would want us to write a back WW1990 novel, say Battle of the GIUK Gap, or a forward WW1990, say Esercito Italiano. The readership was split. But ironically, a friend and fan from Italy, who once noticed we mentioned squadrons of Italian Tornado bombers in World War 1990: Operation Eastern Storm, reminded us of something.

The whole point of the World War 1990 series was to write a WWIII series that wasn't all about The Weser [you wrote a novel called The Weser-Ed], or Soviet breakthroughs, or the Atlantic Convoys, etc etc. We wanted to do something different. Writing novels that take place after the end of WWIII is certainly something different. And we're happy we're finally in that phase of the project.

DOGE Report: We read through a couple of Thatcher's War scenes and wrote another.

We read the Canadian Voodoo Chapter in War Night.  We've some tidying up to do and then back to our people for formatting.

And a bit of good news. Last night we signed the contract for Ambush at Lingayen Gulf and today we'll sign the contract for our Saigon on the Thames story, Atlantic Flash. We didn't even like Atlantic Flash

We're getting bored with Substack and haven't even bee cross posting there for a while.
