St. Patrick's Day, the Smoldering Aftermath

A good post St. Patrick's Day morne to Stroock's Book reader(s) across the globe, even the Protestants.  [Even the Protestants?  Yesterday you were professing your loyalty to Ulster-Ed]. We know, and shut the fuck up, Ed. You're from Liverpool.

We had our corned beef and cabbage last night but nary a pint nor a nip. We just don't like drinking at night anymore. [He's a notorious day drinker-Ed]. That's right. Give us a glass of ice, a bottle of whisky (Tullamore, the preferred whisky of our friend's late father and, yes we have a bottle in the liquor cabinet) and an Arturo Fuente Short Story or two...

Oh look, the Israelis have renewed the war in/on Gaza. This blog says good on you lot. Bomb Gaza. Meanwhile the Israelis bombed 30 targets in Syria and Lebanon. As always, Israel Radar has an excellent summation and analyses. Looks like the Israelis killed several members of Hamas' leadership (and their families?). Israel is ordering evacuations in the broder area and has informed Egypt that it rejects a ceasefire at this time. Looks like this campaign is a negotiating tactic. Exit question: something we've oft wondered, does Mossad have a way to figure out one's facial features even if one is wearing a face covering? The Jew is quite clever you know, according to the imams.

Related: the estranged Itmar Ben Gvir is rejoining Netanyahu's government. Ah, political Kabuki. Also related, this Israeli poll watcher is back. He sees Bibi and the coalition gaining in the polls but the Israeli electorate deadlocked overall. A coalition lead by Naftali Bennett wins 63 seats. But where is Bennett? By the way, Bibi could win the war, call an election and then form a government with the moderate parties on the promise of a Haredi draft bill. Heh, let's hope he does.

We watched a few 'how to market your book' videos on YouTube yesterday and learned little. Or maybe we learned just a little. Amazon is changing the way one can buy and own Kindle eBooks. We've heard the complaints. Hmmmm...is Amazon trying to push people back into buying paperback copies? We admit this would be good for us.

DOGE report: We cut several foreign scenes from World War 1990: Thatcher's War. We can always put them back. We read through several scenes in Chapter I of the Battle of Derry and edited heavily the General Ritchie of the UDR arrival scene. Many problems remain to be solved. We are trying to solve those problems.

Our people sent us the cover for War Night: Stories of the Great Nuclear War of 1975. It was a complete cock-up, as they did the War Night cover in the style of World War 1990. We got a second attempt back this morning. Progress...of a sort. We sent it back. We are...miffed.
