All right now...we got to the gym yesterday and did a full workout after which the knee felt great. We are experiencing some residual soreness this morning but overall we're doing good.
Huh, we weighed in at 241 pounds. Most excellent.
In Israel, Netanyahu's coalition partners, Shas and United Torah Judaism, say they will collapse the government over Haredi draft legislation. The Opposition will submit a bill to dissolve the government next week. Should the bill pass, Israel will hold elections in a few months. This is brinksmanship.
We'll see who blinks first. Polls show strong majorities in Israel favor an election. It's time. Here's the latest political poll from The Times of Israel. There's no good news for Bibi and the Coalition. Likud finishes a strong second, but overall the Coalition gets 48-50 seats in the 120 seat Knesset. Exit question: would Bibi try to form a government with the three Arab parties? To ask that question is to answer it. We laugh maniacally.
Editorial note: this blog is generally supportive of Netanyahu but not personally loyal (anymore). We'd support a center government led by former PM Naftali Bennet (polls show the Opposition would win 63-65 seats). As for the war, by the time Bennett took office the hard stuff (finishing off Hamas, Iran) would almost certainly be handled by Bibi. While most Israelis want to end the war, there is zero consensus, none whatsoever, for a 'peace process' or 'Palestinian' state per The Jerusalem Post.
On to better things, sort of. The IDF recovered two hostage bodies overnight. Meanwhile the IDF is distributing aid and arming anti-Hamas militias.
DOGE report: we began three new scenes in World War 1990:
