A rare miss from Stroock's Books. It happens.
The fam is back, thank the Lords of Kobol. Actually, Mrs. Stroock has to turn around and head back out again for a business trip this week. Sucks.
Here in New Jersey, Matt Margolis argues that Dem Mikie Sherill is in big trouble this fall. We don't see it. In this poll Sherrill holds a 20-point lead over GOP nom Jack Cittarelli. Sherrill won't win by a 20-point margin, but we still think she'll win.
Speaking of seeing things, Trump was in New Jersey this weekend. Friday night we heard, then saw Marine-1. The previous week we spotted a couple of Marine Ospreys. Reminder, we're ten minutes from Trump National in Bedminster.
Mark Judge talks about writing for Tucker Carlson's Daily Caller....gratis...for free...for nothing. The less said about Tucker Carlson these days the better. Getting one's name out there is nice and all. But as the great Robert Stacy McCain reminds us, a writer's ultimate goal is to get paid. We ourselves have written a few pieces for free, mostly to get our name out there. We don't need to get our name out there anymore. Our name is out there. And we stopped writing for those cheap bastards at Decision Games because they stiffed us.
Even gigs that pay ain't paying too good. Which is one of the reasons we have a good idea for the week of 7/13/25 but aren't sure we're going to go through with it. Wouldn't some British magazines be interested in articles about the American Revolution? Or the War of the Rebellion, if that helps you reader(s) from across the pond with a speech impediment. We have an MA in the American Revolution and a proven military history article track record. We are among the best there is at what we do. But even at a favorable exchange rate, the reward ain't worth the effort. Trust us, magazine writing ain't puting Oldest Daughter through Rutgers.
