Will's Good Idea for the Week of 7/27/25

Toe inflammation is gone but it still hurts some. We stubbed our toe last night, yes that one. We awake both tired and resentful, angry. More coffee will help.

Baaaah...after a decade we still get that dream where we have a class to teach but don't know where to go.

Israel absolutely rolled on aid issue. Sucks, but there it is. Cut a deal or win the war, Bibi. Enough going sideways.

That being said Germany, Italy, Australia, etc, refuse to go along with France's bid to recognize 'Palestine'. Reminder, 'Palestine' not a place, not a people, not a thing.

We grow weary of Substack. Data tells us we have 1273 followers there. Of course a few years ago we began reposting our work here at Substack mostly as cancelation insurance. Is it even worth it anymore? Substack is almost certainly helping us move some books, but still.

We cast about yesterday looking for magazine writing opportunities. They're there, of course. But we're still on the fence. Either commit or stop kvetching. Probably a waste of time, no?

FB tells us we posted this twelve years ago today, 'As of today Israel Strikes has sold 6661 copies, Kindle and print. Highest daily average per month, 43, highest daily total, 76.'

Let's move on to...Will's Good Idea for the Week of 7/27/25. Sales of The Great Nuclear War of 1975 novels remain consistent, robust even. We really should devote some mental energy to story ideas for a 5th novel. Don't get too excited. It's just thinking.
