Saturday Updates

The toe is healing, gradually. We still can't really wear shoes. Doing so rubs and inflames the joint. At least we're not writhing in pain. We were hoping to hit the gym today, but Mrs. Stroock told us not to be a moron. Every day we miss the gym we get weaker while the enemy gets stronger. Yes, we have enemies.

True, Trump had a great week. He had a great month. Heck, Trump's having a great year. This blog urges caution, though. Avoid ebullience. Beware irrational exuberance. You younger reader(s) are just going to have to look that last one up. Keep winning.

We are still stunned and amazed by our excellent bloodwork. Frankly, we've no idea what to make of it. We probably put on a few pounds this month, and we tend to hit the sweets when Mrs. Stroock and the girls are away for long trips, coping we guess. Those glucose, triglyceride, cholesterol, and sodium numbers have to be a mistake right? Right?

The Things:

We are generally pleased with World War 1990: Thatcher's War. We could always go over the Battle of Derry again this week. But that feels like working harder not smarter. Best to let it sit. We are in no way prepared to write the actual British invasion. We need to go over the remaining 30 pages or so this week.  World War 1990: Thatcher's War is...77,000 words.

We are also generally pleased with World War 1990: The Managua Campaign. We could also stand to go back over the battle of Los Banos. See comment above. We are set up to have a great week writing about the fallout from the battle. Look out for Mr. Buchanan. World War 1990: The Managua Campaign is 22,000 words.
