Will's Good Idea for the Week of 7/6/25

Ugh, a rough night. Which will probably make for a rough afternoon.

We hit the weights yesterday. A good session, but we still felt fatigued. We really didn't want to be there. We must needs seriously reconsider our routine. But we're benching 210 now and would hate to lose that Mo. Also, we got a touch of plantar fasciitis in the right foot still, which certainly didn't help things last night.

So for the first time since we saw it in the theatre in 2002, we watched Blackhawk Down. That's 23 years people [Yes, we know-Ed]. We found the movie...unpleasant. Hard to watch. We're just getting old.

We're not going to do a whole Blackhawk Down week, at Stroock's Books, but we'll share a few thoughts as the week goes on. For starters, we can't quite figure out what we'd rate this film. Were we not entertained? 3/4.

So Tucker Carlson interviewed the president of Iran. This is fine. Why not? Not that we agree with anything the man has said about Iran of late. What's his game? Simply riding his ideas to intellectually consistent conclusions making for weirdness? Audience capture, or worse? We've no idea.

Will's Good idea for the Week of 7/6/25. Plans...read through all of World War 1990: Thatcher's War by the end of the month. Finish the intro and Cuba sections of World War 1990: The Managua Campaign by the end of the month. Plans are nice. It's nice to plan.
