Well, that was a day. A family Bot Mitzvah followed by celebratory party at a sports bar, followed by outlet shopping, followed by dinner at another sports bar to watch Penn State, followed by an hour and a half drive home through the rain.
We watched Rutgers and Penn State lose. Bastards.
At both sports bars we were confronted with an impossibly long beer list, and at least half the beers were IPAs...JFC. We ordered a fancy local amber or 'copper' in this case and didn't like it. Then we ordered a Yeungling, we were in southeastern PA after all. We didn't like the Yeungling much either. Is it possible we don't like beer anymore? JFC indeed.

This blog's been getting some weird traffic lately. We see you people. This blog has enemies, foreign and domestic.
Reported parameters of potential Gaza peace deal...are acceptable. Once Hamas gives up all hostages it has zero leverage. We don't believe the Gazans and West Bank People are capable of doing what's necessary to put themselves on a 'pathway' to nationhood.
Do also remember that Israel faces the problem of diminishing returns in Gaza. How many times can they bounce the rubble? There are also other threats to deal with. These include Iran (of course) and a cockamamie Houthi plan to invade Israel. How the Houthis intend to pull it off is anyone's guess. But they're stupid enough to try it.
As far as the Israelis releasing prisoners....it sucks but what're ya gonna do? Confederate politicians walked free after the War Between the States. Same is true for German SS and Japanese officers with blood on their hands after World War Two.
The deal makes Gaza an Arab and European problem. They deserve it.
Is the deal great? No. Is it terrible? Hardly.
This war has always been much bigger than Gaza.
As for Will's Good Idea for the Week of 9/28/25...We've just about got the 2nd nuke short story done. At least we know where it goes. As always, the problem is how the story gets there. But it's good. The third short story will probably be about three Soviet Cosmonauts aboard Salyut station seeing the destruction of Soviet Union from a hundred miles up. It's also time to get back to Thatcher's War....
