Will Goes Deep

Good afternoon, associated Stroock's Books reader(s) and happy Wednesday.

We have some well deserved rain here in northern New Jersey this morning [How is rain well deserved?-Ed]. We dunno.

What Will's Watching: You know, we haven't watched Deep Space 9 since it aired, and lost track of the show some time in the late 90s and never did see how it ended. We started episode-1 last night, which we haven't seen since our first viewing way back in 1993. Okay, this is pretty good. Sisko's interactions with the Emissary feels a lot like 2001, but in a good way. Bottom line, we were entertained.

Related...we started Deep Space 9 on Paramount...and then had to sit through commercials. Why are we having to sit through commercials on a service for which we are paying? The eye doth twitch. So, we shelled out $9.99 for season-1 on Amazon, commercial free. Hey Paramount, you suck.

Also...FB tells us that we saw AC/DC in concert 17 years ago tonight. This must have been at the Meadowlands. Yep we checked, indoors at the Izod center. We bring this up because yesterday we listened to their 2016 Rock or Bust album at the gym. We liked Rock or Bust a lot more than we thought we would. Like Stiff Upper Lip and Black Ice, Rock or Bust is filled with blues-based riffs and no album filler.

DOGE report: Okay....we need to write, maybe one or two scenes in Thatcher's War and....that ought to be just about it, just about all he wrote. Will the rough be completed by December? It might. It might.

The Kenny and Aoife story in the 5th nuke novel is coming along just fine.  We're still not really sure where we/they are headed.
