Good morning, citizens of the Stroockonian Empire. Substack is down this morning, so we're blogging instead.
Related...our growth on Substack is steady, but slow. As previously reported, we post on Substack notes partly to build audience, we know for a fact we've sold books that way. We post partly to vent. We've doubled our efforts on Substack. But frankly, we're just not sure we're doing much good. After more than a decade of trying on various platforms (Gab, Parlor, Twitter, Substack) building a large social media audience remains beyond our grasp.
Ah, there we go. Substack back up....So good afternoon then.
Anyway, the only posts that get any traction involve Israel. The Jew gets a lot of attention on Substack. So we've been linking to one of our books or our Amazon Author page below Israel related posts.
You know, Substack notes does this annoying thing where sometimes it posts thumbnails of articles we link, and sometimes it doesn't. It's completely random and arbitrary. It'll post JPost thumbnails but not Times of Israel thumbnails. We're annoyed. So much so we're thinking of deleting our account. [You need more coffee-Ed] Probably.
The Times of Israel reports, 'The nationwide protests challenging Iran’s theocracy appeared to be smothered Thursday, a week after the regime shut the country off from the world and escalated a bloody crackdown that activists say killed thousands.' We already said we weren't getting too excited about the protests. See previous Iranian protests, Hong Kong 2020, etc etc. A regime willing to massacre thousands is a regime that thinks it can hang on.
This blog isn't really sure what the US was supposed to do. Paratroopers into Tehran? No way. Maybe some kind of decapitation strike. But the Regime is no doubt prepared for that. We dunno. Remain wary.
As for shenanigans last night, including Iran closing air space, mullah money allegedly transferred out of the country, and the Pentagon pizza index through the roof, something was going. Our own sense is it was all a Trump psyop. We await events.
What Will's Watching: OMG, Red Letter Media is doing a ReView of Deep Space 9 season-1. OMG!
DOGE report.
Same. We've got the first Derry battle chapter to read today. The first battle of Derry [Londonderry-Ed]. chapter is read through.
We still sprucing up the Thatcher's War interlude chapter.
We went back on Twitter out of ennui [You do love that word-Ed]. This is a mistake. But already we know more. Thank you Israel Radar and Open Source Intel.
