The NFL Puts the Broad in Broadcasting

Good post-Halloween morning. The children trick or treated as the adults gathered in the cul-de-sac around a firepit. We had a glass of wine. Middle daughter brought home a Life of Jesus DVD given out by a Christian family determined to save her soul, we guess.

We once more find ourselves slipping back into our NFL habit. It's just nice to have something to watch at night while we get to bed. Don't hate us. Hate the game.

The great Robert Stacey McCain wrote yesterday, Football is a Man's Game. RSM is always right, especially when it comes to women. Younger reader(s) would be fools not to take his advice, 'If a girl tells you she's a feminists just walk away,' we paraphrase.

McCain is surely right when he complains about all the women commenters on TV. He goes on at some length about female sideline reporters and wonders when chicks on the sideline became a thing. This blog believes 2000, when Melissa Stark joined ABC's disastrous Dennis Miller Monday Night Football experiment.

This blog's enemies are probably expecting to read, 'We don't want a woman on an NFL sideline unless she's in a short skirt and go-go boots,' or some such. Not so. We think cheerleaders are a scandalous distraction. How many unwanted pregnancies have resulted because the camera lingered on a cheer line for too long? Back in our professorial days we had a student who was a competitive cheerleader. This young lady, who aced our World Civ II class, hated NFL cheerleaders, 'sideline strippers' she called them. Quite right.

It will surprise no one that this blog draws a lot of traffic from the vast pool of beautiful women who bless these United States. Surely  a few of you are current or former NFL cheerleaders. If 'sideline stripper' is too harsh, competitive cheerleader is too generous a description for what's going on behind the bench. Know what you are. Yes, yes. We're sure you work very hard.

We've always felt great pride that our own New York Giants have never had cheerleaders, a policy instituted by the late Wellington Mara and continued to day by his son, Tim. For those who don't know, the Maras are one of the NFLs noble families, the Starks of the league. They were basically beheaded in the mid-60s when the game passed them by. Of course the hapless Jets have cheerleaders. That's just the kind of organization the Johnson family runs. They're different kinds of people over there.

No. No, ma'am. This husband of a corporate suit, who was at one time responsible for the household cooking and cleaning is no sexist. No, this father who did Mr. Mom duty with all three of his little girls doesn't think a woman's job is to stay home with the children.

We once turned off the AFC championship game because our oldest wanted to watch Wow-Wow Wubsy. 'Can we watch my shows, Daddy. Please?' You young fellas,  a little girl asking you for something is deadlier than your mom guilting you, or your girlfriend saying, 'You know what store is next Bed Bath and Beyond and Yankee Candle don't you...?'

There are indeed roles for women in the NFL. This blog endorses 100% female NFL refs. Why not? They're just as capable of over-officiating and blowing the call as men. And we have no problem whatsoever with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' two female coaches, Lori Locust and Maral Javadifar  (defensive line, strength and conditioning). If reader(s) don't think women can't  teach men about lifting weights, they should come to our gym. Again, why not?

But women talking about football, announcing football...we shake our head. There's just something about that voice during a game that makes us think we're being nagged.

Below, the Top 10 Led Zeppelin riffs:

It's hard to argue with any of that. Number 6, Ten Years Gone, is criminally underrated. We like it better than Stairway.  Here we are playing Ten Years Gone:

Stroock to left, GOPe: Bite me

Robert Stacey McCain says Ace of Spades is our Churchill.*

Ace's is a long post about the left, Trump, Vichy GOP, Never Trump soy boy cucks, etc etc. You should read the entire thing. A poignant bit:
The pablum issuing from NeverTrumpers and Neocons is just creating a pleasant illusion in which it's 2003 forever and the only thing that should really matter is whether we are "consistent" on Trump and Clinton, preferring that political Neverland to the actual America we find ourselves in in 2019, pretending away unpalatable truths in favor of pleasant fantasies, continuing to pretend that everything's great (and that which is not great can just be saved by another round of tax cuts and trade deals), and that the left isn't scary at all -- that's just Evil Trump trying to convince you that they're really serious about their openly announced plans to seize America's guns and force churches to perform gay marriages, or go to prison.
2003 is not forever. We've often described ourselves as an unprepentent Neocon but are we, really? Not really. Not when we think putting gators in the Rio Grande is a good idea and don't give a crap about pulling troops out of Syria.

The facts have changed and we're proud to say so have we.

As Ace writes about the left, let's ask, how much of America is left? No more than 30%. No more than 30% of Germany was Nazi. How many people in craphole Islamic nations are really Islamist assholes?

30% is it and it is enough.

So what do we do? We wear our MAGA hat everywhere. Everywhere. Go to Twitter. Search our congressional district, #NJ07. It's all us. It's a start.

RSM is right. Ace is Churchill and we're a junior, backbencher MP.

*Ace is always right.

Wither Lefty Drudge

Robert Stacey McCain* informs us that lefties are starting a Drudge style news site to counter Drudge.
You want to launch a news site and you start by smearing Drudge?

The assertion that what Drudge does is “right-wing . . . disinformation” shows how out of touch with reality Joseph Romm is. He is a monomaniacal fanatic, obsessed with “climate change,” and if you put somebody like that in charge of a news site, failure is guaranteed.
One is reminded of the failed lefty attempt to get into talk radio 15 years ago. Anyone else remember Air America?

Lefties try to mimic what righties do without understanding what righties do. Air America never understood that Rush was and is having fun.

They won't get Drudge's mixture of politics, news, entertainment and sensationalism.

Actually, for all of Drudge's alleged Trump boosterism he's been a constant Trump doomsayer of late.

The lefties won't get that either.

*There is no excuse for not reading RSM. None whatsoever, especially you young fellas.

On the new CNN....

...no not that one, commie pukes, #fakenews.

Now that we've made our feelings known, we understand that there is talk of a new conservative news network, dare we say CNN, being formed under the leadership of Roger Ailes.

We're pretty indifferent to Fox News to tell the truth. We'll tune into Fox Business most mornings [you just want to gawk at Maria Bartoromo-ed] do I ever...anyhoo, but we really don't watch a lot of cable news.

MSNBC should be nuked from orbit, its the only way to be sure, and well, CNN is run by a pack sex criminal apologists like Chris Cuomo who think little girls should have to see penises in the bathroom. So they're right out.

This alleged conservative news network should consider what it is trying to do. Do we really need another conservative news outlet? OK if you want. But would they rather start a real cultural shift?

We vote for the latter.

We'd like to see the new CNN be a political-cultural network in stark contrast to Fox. We'll take Hannity if we have to, but have no interest in O'Reilly.

So what do we want?'

First off, we want this to be Chatty-Gal TV throughout the morning. That means have a gal-centered morning show. Let's put Dana Loesch in charge of a round table with other gals. Well have a late morning variety show, we're not kidding, hosted by some eye candy for the ladies. Moving to afternoon we'll have a day time talk show hosted by Sarah Palin. There is no reason she can't do it, she anchored local news in Alaska.

We'll fill the next few hours with true crime, hosted by ex female detectives, prosecutors, etc, etc.

From there its a straight on news hour with a no-nonsense Joe Friday type and a nightly editorial by Robert Stacey McCain from his secured undisclosed location

Prime time will shift to more male oriented programming. At 7:00 we're going to have the CNN sports report. Like ESPN but without all the SJW convergence. At 8.00 its the CNN Entertainment hour.

We'll put Hannity at 8:00  a Dateline style show at 9:00, and groom new talent at 10:00.

Now at 11:00 we're programming a late night talk show hosted by Mark Steyn. This will focus on cultural stuff,  a throwback to the old late night shows. Music, comedy, books, dancing and the arts.

We'll have some sort of underground show at 12:00.

The overall goal here is not a news network but a cultural-entertainment Network with a news element.

Also, fuck CNN.

Morning Thoughts on the Wimin's Strike

So today is some kind of International Women's Strike.

The jokes write themselves...does this mean no nagging today?

Awwww...honey, are you mad?

Anyway, Once one understands that feminism is an international Marxist conspiracy to destroy Western Civilization this all makes sense, thanks Robert Stacey McCain. Get his book. Do it now!

In short feminists are miserable and they want all the women who landed husbands and have kids and houses and such to be miserable too.

But what about the women's lib movement you ask.

Don't kid yourself, Betty Friedan didn't liberate anyone, technology did. You know who got women out of the house? Whoever invented the clothes washer, the dish washer, the range oven, the vacuum cleaner and all the other household items that grandma kept house with after the war. Women got out of the house and went to work because there was no need for them to be in the house all day. Hey, there's a reason why the soaps come on at noon. The kids are school, the roast is in the oven, the dry cleaning has been picked up, and the Mrs. has a few hours to herself.

And let's get something straight, I did Mr. Mom duty with all three of my girls. So when it comes to taking care of babies and keeping house I know what the fuck I'm talking about.

Look, folks, I think most women would probably prefer having husband, home and family and getting into the workforce or going back to the workforce, when the kids are old enough. This whole feminism thing is for women of privilege who want to be doctors or lawyers or generals or something. I don't see any of them clambering to become plumbers or electrical linesmen.

No, the boys can do those jobs, am I right, Gloria?
