What is Israel's Way Out?

The border massacre resulting in 52 dead Palestinians seems to have dampened down the so called 'March of Return'. We suspect Hamas simply isn't capable of maintaining morale in the face of a mass-casualty event. The Israelis meant business.

The incendiary kite offensive has been brilliant,  though, a constant nuisance and slap in the face. We're no expert on kiting or east Mediterranean wind patterns but it seems the Palis need to be close to the border to get their incendiary kites into Israel. If this is the case why not simply fire on anyone launching a kite?

Other options being considered:
The Israel Defense Forces launched a series of exercises throughout the country on Sunday, including one in southern Israel that will reportedly simulate the conquering of Gaza City, following a daylong flareup with the Hamas terror group over the weekend in which some 200 rockets and mortar shells were fired at Israel.

This strikes us as a horrible idea. Occupy Gaza city and Hamas will simply have a good time firing rockets right under the IDF's nose.

It seems to us that the Israelis have to find some way to convince Hamas to stop. The problem is Hamas isn't interested in peace. So throwing goodies at Gaza won't do any good.
