Theresa May, Whithered

Theresa May is going.

Not soon enough.

From the moment she took office in the wake of the establishment's Brexit defeat, May did nothing but fail. She called an election and the geniuses who didn't anticipate the Leave turnout also didn't anticipate the left's turnout in the election. She was forced to go into a coalition with Ulster, creating a vulnerability for her which the Europeans exploited ruthlessly.

May's plan was feeble, weak as Lady Thatcher would say. It failed in parliament, and then failed in parliament again. She extended the Brexit deadline and then extended the Brexit deadline again. Her negotiations failed, and failed and failed. May was pathetic, searching for the one tweak of the Brexit Bill that would get a majority. She never got a majority.

Theresa May will be fine. She'll sit on some corporate boards, maybe teach a class at Princeton's Wilson School, which is fitting, really, and rake in the dough.

The Tories will not be fine as Herr Farage gobbles up the Tory Leave vote. May leaves the Tories in Existential Crisis.
