A quiet birthday. Mrs. Stroock made spaghetti and meatballs (we ate too much) and got us an ice cream cake. Sadly it didn't have an X-Wing Fighter on it.

Middle and Youngest Daughters started camp this week. Praise Kek. It's so quiet here. We got a tonne of work done yesterday. Our sister came up with her daughter, who is named for our grandmother. Perhaps she can reason with that southern ghost. They're threatening to take the boat out today.
NJ.com reports: The COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be more than 99.9% effective in New Jersey, with 84 hospitalizations and 31 having deaths out of the 4.4 million people in the state fully vaccinated by the end of June, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday. In all, Murphy said, the state has recorded 3,747 so-called breakthrough cases — fully vaccinated people contracting the virus.' As we've told numerous friends who haven't gotten the vax, 'Either you'll get vaxed or you'll get the Wuhan Virus from Wuhan China.' Hey man, do what you want.
What Will's Watching, Weird Midwestern Food. So we caught the Mets at the Cincinnati Reds last night. The Mets won in the bottom of the 11th. As the network will often do, they brought the viewer a bit of local color. In this case they showed us a Cincinnati dish from a local chain restaurant called Skyline Chili. The 3-Way: Pasta, beans, gravy and shredded cheese. Is this really what you people eat out there?
