Updates for a Cold Second Thanksgiving

The womenfolk are preparing Thanksgiving number 2. We're scheduled to eat around 1 PM.

As of this writing infections are up in New Jersey, deaths are down and the infection rate is at 1.22. That's before the Nu and Omicron variants hit our shores. Or is it? This blog has remarked before that we're all going to get the vaccine or were all going to get the Wuhan Virus from Wuhan China. We got the booster last week. But we're all going to get the Wuhan Flue from Wuhan China anyway, aren't we? 

Oh look, Joe has suspended flights from Africa. Not surprising. Joe has always been a racist, racist to his core. Heh, remember when he slammed President Trump for doing the same? We're thinking we'll have to cancel out summer foreign travel plans again. Joe said he'd shutdown the virus, but he hasn't. Failure, as Powerline points out.

It's worth repeating, we've been to places without a mask that you wouldn't believe. Schools, doctor's offices, vaccine clinics. This ends when we, you, I, say enough. It's time to toss Anthony Fauci out a window, metaphorically speaking. Defenestrate that metaphorical and literal Lilliputian. Defenestrate with extreme prejudice. That malignant tumor opens the fridge, the light turns on and he starts talking.

We don't mean to be flippant, but just a few generations ago it was widely expected that the winter would kill thousands and thousands of the elderly and weak. Pneumonia was 'the old man's' friend. Fauci doesn't understand that everything can't be controlled, miniature freak.

We had a solid run at the gym yesterday. This morning we are sore, but in a good way.  However, of late we're running between 3.5 and 3.8. We can't get any closer to 4.0. Fatigue has set in. This weekend marks two months since we began our two runs a week, two lifts a week program. We've seen great results. Overall, we weigh less than we did 15 years ago.

We looked at The Final Storm not at all. 

The Great Nuclear War of 1975 is heading to the editor tomorrow night. We may or may not do a few things to it this weekend. At some point one must needs be done. One must declare, 'There! I said it!'

We'll be working this weekend on The Great Salvation of 1976's Alaska chapter. We already worked on the first chapter. Originally, we didn't think we needed a cabinet meeting to set things up. But after reading through the chapter, we need a cabinet meeting to set things up. Can we get the MS ready by the end of the month? This feels ambitious, no? 

Oh, we're Halfway There!...Whoa-Oh! Vaxing on a Prayer!

We got to the gym yesterday and had a good weightlifting session. After that we mowed the lawn. That's a fine combined workout. We're still nursing our foot so nothing today. 

Day two of returned bachelordom and we're already hearing voices. Note, Nightingale Russia, this is humor, irony, farce. Think Monty Python, but American.

Strike Group Daisy, Strike Group Violet, and of course Strike Group Hyacinth. Ed talked me out of it. Things still got a little weird. Anyone else remember General Pin Krieger? Car Swarm!

Big news here in New Jersey. Governor Murphy announced that the rest stops on the Garden State Parkway are being renamed for New Jersey heroes, including Bon Jovi. We're delighted. The state is bisected north to south by the Parkway, and of course the New Jersey Turnpike. New Jerseyans  can describe where they live by giving their Turnpike exit number. We're #10. Anyway, there's only two kinds of New Jerseyans. Those who like Bon Jovi, those who like Bruce Springsteen. Bon Jovi is better.   

Oh...Yeah, Springsteen, voice of the forgotten man, bard of the farmer and factory worker. Guess what his daughter is doing this summer. She's an equestrian! A 'lifelong' equestrian. Millionaire socialist is part of the landed gentry. If you can't enjoy Springsteen's hypocrisy, well, you're an inhuman monster and we don't want you reading this blog. The modern day Arlo Guthrie indeed.

We're working on some misinformation for the KGB (again, Nightingale Russia, not serious), all about the vaccine and mask messaging disaster here in the US. The Regime's effort is the Pearl Harbor of public service campaigns and the people running this thing are the William Westmorlands of ad men. We're tempted to liken the vaccination campaign to the 1962 New York Mets (40-120) but those Mets were funny. There's nothing funny about the Regime's level of incompetence. Boy, did they ever level up. Fucktards. 

Fauci and Walensky: The case for Indictment

Welp, we're alone for a couple of weeks. It's already weird. Last night we woke up at 2 AM knowing it was just us, the cats and Youngest Daughter's stuffed otter, Petunia and her gator, Chompson. We didn't like it. We didn't like it at all. We did have an Arturo Fuente Short Story and a nice bottle of chianti, though. We enjoyed that. 

Our ruling class is putrid. But if you're smart enough to read this blog you already knew that. The people running this nation's health bureaucracy are worse. They're incompetent. They're bad liars. They have no idea what they're doing. Nobody should listen to anything 'Doctor' Fauci says. Via Hotair, check out Frank Luntz 'begging' CNN to take Fauci off air. 'Every time he speaks, he actually turns off people,' Luntz says. Luntz is right. It doesn't matter if you like Fauci. His brand is corrupted. This blog wants proof the man is a doctor. We're serious. And Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC is just making it up. 'How are these rules, Rochelle? Yeah, good!' Neither one of them knows what the hell they're talking about.*

Pershing in Command got Instalanched again. Even though it's been Instalanched twice already, we still saw a nice sales surge. We put a new posting up at Helen's Page today and will post when approved. 

The Confederates remarked at the different ways New Jersey and Tennessee are handling vaccinations. The fully vaxed rate here is 65.12 percent. In Tennessee its 44 percent. Remember, New Jersey was an original hotspot, has the highest death rate per capita in the nation, and is a blue state. My best guess is that those numbers are a wash.

Daughters: You're Old, Dad

A quiet birthday. Mrs. Stroock made spaghetti and meatballs (we ate too much) and got us an ice cream cake. Sadly it didn't have an X-Wing Fighter on it.

Middle and Youngest Daughters started camp this week. Praise Kek. It's so quiet here. We got a tonne of work done yesterday. Our sister came up with her daughter, who is named for our grandmother. Perhaps she can reason with that southern ghost. They're threatening to take the boat out today. 

NJ.com reports: The COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be more than 99.9% effective in New Jersey, with 84 hospitalizations and 31 having deaths out of the 4.4 million people in the state fully vaccinated by the end of June, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday. In all, Murphy said, the state has recorded 3,747 so-called breakthrough cases — fully vaccinated people contracting the virus.' As we've told numerous friends who haven't gotten the vax, 'Either you'll get vaxed or you'll get the Wuhan Virus from Wuhan China.' Hey man, do what you want.

What Will's Watching, Weird Midwestern Food. So we caught the Mets at the Cincinnati Reds last night. The Mets won in the bottom of the 11th. As the network will often do, they brought the viewer a bit of local color. In this case they showed us a Cincinnati dish from a local chain restaurant called Skyline Chili. The 3-Way: Pasta, beans, gravy and shredded cheese. Is this really what you people eat out there?

A great day of writing, we expect another great day today. Let's crank out 1,500 to 2,000 words. We'll do our BBC crew and write a Confederate scene. 

Fridays

Well, the microwave installers came, took one look and said, 'We can't do this, boss.' They didn't even break out a screwdriver. I've never been ruder to a deliveryman in my life. We were mad, existentially so. We have a fridge and stove coming in the next weeks and we were seriously considering cancelling the entire order. But we held our fire. After 47 years we know that screaming at managers gets nothing done and when it's over one comes away feeling like a jerk.  Instead we unleashed Mrs. Stroock on the bastards. She does that sort of customer service stuff for a living. Let's just say things are working themselves out. 

In the Westminster system, Bibi would have stepped aside after the 2nd or 3rd deadlocked election. Hence the problem with Bibi. As we write this, he's trying to get MKs to defect from Bennet's coalition. This blog admires the man's fight, but it's over Bibi. Go write your memoirs.

Huh. People are just figuring out that the Wuhan Virus from Wuhan China was engineered in a lab, leaked (probably on purpose), and Fauci is a fast talking self promoter protecting his bureaucratic empire. Wait till these folks find out about the election. Reminder: Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself.
