I am wearing a Philadelphia Eagles T-shirt right now. That's where we are. That's the reality, people. I'm not proud.
Yesterday, we read through the American section of World War 1990: The Weser. On to the Brits today. Our hunch is if we put the MS down and reread in a month we'd also find stuff to change. But there's still a few odds and ends that must needs be dealt with. Whatevs. Yes, or da, we are driving ourselves crazy. The MS is going to the publisher on Friday.
The Weser's back cover text:
Two weeks into the Third World War, the Battle of Bremen is over, and NATO has lost.
The American 2nd Armored Division is shattered.
The Belgian army is all but destroyed.
The British Army of the Rhine withdraws south.
Danish forces fall back toward Jutland.
The Dutch army retreats to the frontier.
Soviet armies advance toward the Rhine.
NATO assembles an ad-hoc corps of American, British and French forces to counterattack in a last-ditch attempt to stop the Warsaw Pact.
Thoughts? Typos?
We figured out the What If? article we're working on and are halfway home already. Hopefully the first of many. Many more we should say.
Oh my, look who's suddenly interested in Israeli natural gas: 'Israel and Europe are natural partners because of their democratic values and shared past, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said Tuesday morning in a speech at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba.' See also the East Med pipeline from Israel to Greece. Do note Von der Leyen is a Kraut. The first quarter of the 21st century has been great for Israel. The next quarter will be even better.
Moving on to Jewish military matters, The Jerusalem Post tells us, 'Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has vowed to implement an “Octopus” Doctrine in the country's confrontation with Iran. “We no longer play with the tentacles, with Iran’s proxies: we’ve created a new equation by going for the head.”' Another piece we strongly urge reader(s) to click on over and read. Think of what we know about Israeli operations and then imagine what we don't know. Syria's about to get a lot uglier. The Israeli's are threatening to bomb Assad's palaces. Exit question: President Assad, was all the Iranian cooperation worth it?
Over at Hot Air, Allah Pundit is right. Joe can't possibly run again in 2024. Yet he can't possibly not run again in 2024. We don't think we need to list the myriad reasons why and why not, right? Joe is Schrodinger's candidate. On the one hand, we're enraged and saddened at the Dem's (not Joe's, Joe doesn't know what's going on) theft of the election. On the other hand, we console ourselves by watching this implosion. We've never seen anything like it. On the gripping hand, the nation is suffering. Again, we've never seen anything like it.
If it wasn't affecting me daily, I would be on the couch watching the left implode with popcorn, it's fun until I go shopping :(
