This blog is 100% pleased with last night's GOP primary results. Laxalt wins in NV, Fry defeats impeacher Rice and Nancy Mace hangs on, both in SC. Am I the only one who thinks Mace is a hottie? Speaking of, let us not forget Mayra Flores' massive win in Texas. Big things are a'comin'. For the first time, this blog believes the Dems may attend a red wedding this November.
At The Pipeline, the great Michael Walsh righteously slams the Boomer, and argues persuasively against Trump (and Biden!) in 2024. We agree 100% with this, 'Trump's last, greatest, and noblest service to his country would be to announce, shortly after the mid-terms, that he will not be a candidate in '24, but will crisscross the land to campaign for the party, starting at the top with DeSantis, 46, for president of the United States.' Trump was a powerful booster in 2018* and can be so again in 2024.
Yesterday, we read through The Weser's British chapter. We fixed a thing or two, but otherwise the chapter is as good as we can make. On to the Stars and Bars chapter, and its hooting and hollering Renegade Rebels.
So we have a new writing gig, and we feel tonnes of pressure to get the 800 word piece finished, even though there's no deadline. We're back to normal.
*People who think the GOP got shellacked in 2018 don't understand politics and should find another hobby, like spelling bees. If you don't get that reference we don't want you reading this blog. There was a blue ripple, not a wave in 2018. The GOP gained in the senate and won Florida, which seems like a pretty big deal now, no?
