Will goes Radioactive

Last day of school!

Also, another decision day at the Supreme Court. They added a day tomorrow as well. Our guess is that's it. Check out Scotusblog for the decisions.

Just 25 more posts to go till 5000. We're impressed. Should we do retrospectives? Should we repost our favorite posts? The thing about that...Blogger changed the way one can find old posts. They're not listed chronologically anymore. We'd have to scroll through or search them out. A pain. Perhaps it's best if Stroock's Books goes out with a whimper.

At 19Fortyfive, Daniel Davis argues Russia is winning the war: 'Ukrainian Brig. Gen. Volodymyr Karpenko, the Land Forces Logistics Commander of the UAF, publicly acknowledged that through nearly four months of fighting, his troops had lost “approximately 50%” of their pre-war stocks of heavy weapons, claiming that “1,300 infantry fighting vehicles have been lost, 400 tanks, 700 artillery systems.”' Read the whole thing, as they say. Told ya.

After previously arguing for Donald Trump. Kurt Schlichter makes the case against Donald Trump. The colonel says Trump lacks discipline. He points to Trump's kvetching about 2020. He says Trump made horrible personnel decisions. President Trump is old. And besides, DeSantis waits in the wings. Think about it.

If MAGA men don't want President Trump to run, we must slowly, surely, and respectfully create the environment where he concludes the odds are against him and he stays out. Articles like Schlichter's are a good way to do that.

What Will's Watching, Chernobyl, The Lost Tapes. An excellent documentary about the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown using Soviet witnesses and fascinatingly, Soviet archival footage. Compelling. 4/4.

Hmmm...in The New American Order, Quebec secedes but this leads to immediate trouble with various Indian tribes who launch a guerilla war against chauvinistic Frenchmen. Yes, the Qs don't have the guts to do it in our world, but could and would in 1970s post nuclear Canada.
