Saturday Updates

Good Saturday Morning, Stroocks Books continuum.

Just a foul mood yesterday most of the day.

We had a great week at the gym.

French is coming along slowly but fine.

A friend from a European nation that's really good at winter sports  told us the Justice Department affidavit justified the Fed's raid on Mar a Lago. We told him no and wondered why he would entertain such an idea. Of course he believes the Feds must have had a good reason to raid Trump. Our friend comes from a competently run nation with thoughtful, prudent officials.  I do not live in such a nation. I live in a banana republic.

This is the last week or ten days before school. The Stroocklettes go back on September 7th. We still get a bit down this time of year.

We are off to the beach this afternoon. We'll try to finish re-re-reading Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain.

The things.

August is officially our best sales month of 2022.

World War 1990: The Weser has cracked the top 30, while The Great Nuclear War of 1975 refuses to drop out of the top 100. The former has amassed 75 ratings and averages 4.5 stars. Reviewers really like the book. Some have called The Weser the best in the series.  Each novel is just a little bit better than the last.

Beta readers still have The Aftermath of 1976.

We need to update the Current Projects page, don't we?

We spent all week plugging away at The New American Order, finishing the refugee and sovereignty chapters. The 1980 chapter (which won't be that long) and the future history chapter remain to be written. 64,000 words.

The British subplot is really coming together. The rise of the new Britian. The return of the Pound as the world's reserve currency, the strengthening of the Commonwealth. Britian and Thatcher as the leader of the west...

We'll bring our computer and work as always, there's plenty of down time. We'll think about plot during the trip down to the beach and work on the 1980 chapter all week. Who do the Dems run in 1980?
