Who'll Start the Rain + We're Just Wild About Harry

We got much needed rain in New Jersey last night and this morning. We haven't had rain all summer.

Absolutely lousy and foul mood yesterday afternoon till we went to the gym. Exercise and endorphins work. We thought, why the hell are we taking this new med if we feel like this? We forgot to take it the night before which isn't fair and honest to the experiment.

In an effort to pay less attention to politics and generally improve our mental health, we haven't visited Breitbart, Ace, Hot Air or Powerline since Friday and are okay with it so far.

(Ahem) New Trafalgar Group poll on the Pennsylvania race: Fetterman 48, Oz 43. Whether one thinks Fetterman is a relatable everyman or weirdly tall physical freak depends on one's perception. Dr. Oz has been barnstorming the state while Fetterman is running a Joe style basement campaign. Do observers really think Dr. Oz doesn't know how to connect with people? Don't get us wrong, Fetterman is favored to win. But we never believed talk of a massive wipeout. Always trust Trafalgar Goup.

In Israel'Joint List MK Sami Abou Shahadeh says he’s in favor of ditching the Israeli flag, national anthem and the Law of Return, which allows Jews from across the world to immigrate to Israel.' Keep in mind that these people are in the current government. You think the Israelis don't have an Arab problem? [Some of that is Bibi's fault, no?-] Perhaps in any final settlement some Arab areas in northern Israel should be seeded to the new state.

It's 22 August, we published World War 1990: The Weser one month ago. The sales are good. Mrs. Stroock told us to stop using 'popped' as that implies a bursting bubble. Quite right, as usual. Funny thing, a lot of the scenes and plots didn't quite do what we wanted them to do. But they still did do [Huh-Ed?] as show by the ratings and reviews. The artiste is never completely satisfied. Several reviewers on multiple continents call The Weser the best book in the series or some such.

Each book in the series is a little better than the last. Each is a bit different. Nederland is a collection of short stories. Three Seas (the hardest to write) is about naval warfare. The Final Storm will be about aerial warfare and a commando raid.*

Monday not Metal. Mrs. Stroock got REDACTED corporate seats and his taking Harry Styles obsessed 12-year-old to the Harry Styles concert at Madison Square Garden tonight. He's not out bag, but there's no denying the man's talent.
