I Hate Wednesdays

A long, ugly night for us. Fundamentals we understood didn't matter. Pollsters and analysts we trusted were wrong. Crime, inflation, defeat....these things don't matter to voters? But the GOP finished so strong in some places....We've no idea what happened and this morning we've no idea what to say or make of things. An awful night.

First Disney cancelled, now this.

At least our man Tom Kean defeated incumbent congressman Tom Malinowski. It seems the GOP will limp over the finish line in the House. Control of the senate comes down to Arizona, Nevada and, oh fuck no, Georgia. You feelin' good?

My friend, the anti-woke Lanfang Li, won a spot on the Bridgewater/Raritan Board of Education.

Incumbents mostly won. The Red stayed red. The Blue stayed blue.

The case for Trump this morning is what?

Sorry GOPs. If you don't want DeSantis after this, we don't know what to tell you.

There's reason to be optimistic about remaining races out there, but you're not going to get any optimism from us.

We're glad we didn't do any pre-election gloating.

Powerline, we think, has things about right.

Maybe things will look better in a few days.

We're in the 'we need to find something else to be interested in' phase of the morning. Spelling bees, maybe.

So here's the cover of The Aftermath of 1976, which about fits our mood this morning:

We spent Monday and Tuesday working on World War 1990: The Final Storm. We're switching today as it's taking us a long time to get through the Georgia sections. We're tired and bored with the thing.

We need to breakout this morning and get on with something else. So we're going to start thinking about/working on The New American Order's future history chapter. It's something.
