A terrible day and dark morning with a chain on our foot and an albatross around our neck.
At least we got some sleep last night.
We begin today trying to ignore the things over which we obsessed Tuesday and Wednesday.
It hurts to even think about. And it's as if REM is on perma-loop in our head.
We feel terrible. The things we like to do we don't feel like doing; French, the gym. JFC, the gym.
And that's a problem. One we can fix but never have. A conversation we've had with ourselves many times. Both the Yankees and Mets used to determine our mood, and now we couldn't care less about either? Why is that so hard to replicate?
On mornings like this we count our many blessings and try to move on.
We will make a few last points. 1-Longtime reader(s) know we love
We've been slowly shifting this blog's emphasis away from American politics. Look closely and you'll see we talk about politics less then we used to. We'll be talking about them even less. We can't do this anymore. See above.
We did get in a couple of episodes of Andor last night, and those were good. This series is great.
Weirdly we were pretty productive yesterday and have done just about everything we can do to the Battle of the Roki Tunnel. Also we began work on The Aftermath of 1976's future history chapter and for the first time we've written the words, President Haig. We wrote some notes and a vague outline about what that chapter will look like.
