A convincing 38-7 victory for the Eagles over the Giants. The Eagles rushed for 268 yards and wore out the Giants' defense. Dominating. A fine season for the Giants nonetheless. The Giants have to find a way to beat the Eagles, something they haven't been able to do in a decade. Our Eagles fan college roommate kept mockingly texting us. We texted back that we hope he dies from a bowel obstruction. Mrs. Stroock is pleased and is looking forward to seeing her birds in the NFC Championship game.
Great back-to-back days at the gym.
We had feared that The Aftermath of 1976 wasn't as bleak as The Great Nuclear War of 1975, and that the general narrative was more positive than what people wanted. Also, we worried that people would wonder what's what all the kids, schools and libraries. Those fears were unfounded. After six weeks The Aftermath of 1976 has gotten 75 + reviews and stayed in the top 25 of its Amazon category for over a month. We should never doubt ourselves. We are among the best there is at what we do. Now, back to The Final Storm salt mine. Time to embiggen (We thought we were stealing 'embiggen' from Ace, we had no idea this was, you know, an actual word).
Will's good idea for the week of 1/22/23. World War 1990: Norway opens with the Norwegian PM being briefed on all the ways the Soviet Union is attacking Norway on the opening night of the war. Soviet fleet bearing down on Nord Kapp, paras, spetznaz and marines in Finmarck, sustained missile barrage from submarine and land-based missiles, etc etc. We may jump from the cabinet, to a scene in the field, back to the cabinet, etc etc. This would enable us to write the novel a little different than all the other novels in the series. We feel small differentiation is a real strength. Castro's Folly is written differently than Nederland, etc etc. We'll start February with one scene a day.
