Mrs. Stroock is taking the girls on a grand shopping excursion. This is no place for a man. Since it's a sunny, crisp day we'll be popping open a bottle and lighting an Arturo Fuente Short Story.
The Things.
Sales were up this week.
We didn't look at World War 1990: The Final Storm at all this week.
But we did finish our readthrough of The New American Order. That's it. We're calling it. The New American Order is complete. Done. Finished. Fin. We have some editorial decisions to make as both our editor and proofer are dealing with personal issues.
The stage is set for a couple of other novels and more likely a short story compilation. Any other nuke ideas we have can go in the comp. Short Story ideas include a nuke silo crew popping the hatch and a bomber crew flying about. Those novels are a Franco-Israel war and a subcontinental war that also involves a reinvigorated Commonwealth. We'll see.
May, people.
We worked on World War 1990: Norway a bit. Again, were taking it slow. But we had a big breakthrough, intellectually speaking, as far as how we want to structure things and where we want those things to go. We remarked to some of our people, including a Scandi, that Scandanavian names are so cool. We could write a character named Thor Troll Slayer and it wouldn't even be weird. Anyway, 3,000 words and we expect things to really get going next week. Skol!
