Friday Will's Figuring Things Out

We do enjoy weather that allows for shorts and a long sleeved t-shirt.

Four contractors have looked at stucco repairs here. Four contractors, four different recommendations. WTF?

We've been thinking about the PhD who attacked us earlier in the week. We've already documented that we sell a lot more books than he. Out of curiosity we looked up what the PhD, or his publisher is charging. Wow, $39.95 for a hardcover, $24.95 for a paperback and get this, $23.70 for a kindle. That is $23.70 for a book one cannot touch. The PhD, or his publisher anyway, would move a lot more merch, and gain a much wider audience and sell a lot more books in the long run, with a pricing structure that understood the market.

But what do we know, it's not like we're outselling the PhD, and a lot more like him, every goddamn day. Pershing in Command is $12.95. It has 32 ratings (compared to the PhD's).  We formatted the MS ourselves and took maps from the Battlefield Monument's Commission guide. We ran a Pershing ad a long time ago. Nothing came of it. We've been letting the backlist do its thing ever since. Once the reformatting is complete, we'll consider doing a new cover.

Segue....we've been toying with the idea of running ad campaigns for the nuclear war series and/or the World War 1990 series. It's been a long time since we advertised the later. We wouldn't do the former till sales of The New American Order have run their course. That will take months. But a full pager with all eight WW1990 ads might be a good idea. We'll see.

Moving on to other military history endeavors....Israel at War has 28 ratings. It sells better than Pershing in Command, actually. Just a bit.

But enough about how awesome we are...[Please-Ed].

We were talking with a fellow North American who expressed optimism with the state of all the things. Not us. Not this blog. Stroock's Books is black pilled, black pilled to full effect.

Hmmm...we might have found a way out of our World War 1990: The Final Storm impasse. Maybe. Less is more. Yes. Yes, by the many faced god. That's it.

What if the way to sell more books is hanging out on Twitter commenting on random stuff? We'll find out.
