Pointless Nostalgia Week, the Summertime Girls

We're trying to learn Spanish via Duolingo and CDs. Why not? Though we're not optimistic. We should watch Spanish language television. We're thinking Amigas y Rivales. [Fucking knobhead-Ed]

The new World War 1990: Nederland cover:

World War 1990: The Weser is next.

Israel Radar reports: 'The latest Israeli intelligence estimate signals that the risk of war with Hezbollah is now the highest in years. Reports indicate that the Lebanese group is taking intensive steps to prepare for an attack on Israel and possibly a longer battle.' This strikes Stroock's books as a bad idea. Israel is deeply divided right now. Why unite it? Of course a good 25% of the country, the hard left, the quislings and Kapos would root for Hezbollah.

1993 and Me. Ah, summer 1993. This was our last carefree summer, our last summer at home, though we didn't know it. The next summer we'd be interning in Washington, and in May 1993 we were eight months away from meeting this girl...We had a girlfriend then, a girl of no importance whom we would never miss or reminisce about. We've gone multiple years without ever thinking about her. We went to the prom with a childhood friend who needed a date. It was fun. There was also tension with our old love interest, upon whom Patricia from A Line through the Desert is based. We saw her at a party with another guy and just got in our car and left. Said the man who would one day be the Bestman at our wedding, 'Meg, why did you let him go? Jane, what the fuck did you do?' He slapped us silly the next day.
