Saturday Updates

We once again awake tired and sore with that hungover feeling. What the actual ef?

A couple at our designated place of worship is renewing their marriage vows this evening, so for once we have something to do on Saturday Night. We're not sure how we feel about this. Our own 25th wedding anniversary approaches. Years ago, we planned to spend said anniversary in Israel. We planned and you know what happened next. What happened was Mr. Fauci's flu.

The things.

Sales are really dropping. As predicted. We don't know what, if anything, we can do about it.

A long, tiring, and ultimately productive week.

We read about a quarter of World War 1990: The Final Storm. We found a couple of scenes to remove and thought of a couple of scenes to ad. Overall things look as good as we can make them. We need to pick up the pace a bit.

We also had a good week with World War 1990: Norway. We wrote most of the interlude chapter between the Battle of Tromso and the NATO counterattack and even wrote the first scene of the NATO counterattack chapter. Our grognard had a couple of interesting suggestions about writing a damage control scene aboard the Saratoga. Hmmm.... one of the greatest sci-fi tv show episodes ever was about damage control after a battle.

Is Norway going to be completed by the end of the summer? Does the end of the summer mean when the girls go back to school or 21 September? These are not easy questions. Not for me, not for any man. Right now we're cranking out about 3,500 words a week. JFC there are people who do that in a day. We don't understand how these people do that. We could be doing better, though, that's for sure. Over, World War 1990: Norway is 38,000 words.

  1. I thought the end of summer was Halloween that is when the heat usually breaks here in Memphis but I can remember Christmas sometimes being in the 80s
