Saturday Updates

Thank you, cortisone. Thank you. The doctor did an ultrasound of our toe and said, 'Oh yeah...wow, look at those gout crystals'. He injected the needle right into the inflamed area. One could really feel that bit of the toe expand as the cortisone gushed within. The nurse who wrapped our toe was named Ludmilla. She said she was from Ukraine. Her brothers were fighting. We told Ludmilla we hoped her family was okay and wished her all the best.

We're to get a uric acid test and potentially go on everyday anti-gout medication.

With the toe healing, we'll stretch today and hopefully just go for a walk tomorrow.

A tropical storm will bring rain and wind today.

We began watching the 1950 noir classic Dark City last night, partly because Dragnet's Jack Webb plays a rough guy. We need to watch more film noir. There's something about men in suits sitting around a bar, Lucky Strikes dangling from their mouths, talking about hard times and dames.

This will be the last Saturday update. We'll explain why tomorrow.

Again, wanna write something for this blog? Lemme know.

We are halfway through World War 1990: The Final Storm. We will complete the readthrough next week.

We had a great week with World War 1990: Norway. We finished the Battle of Bardufoss, a glorious victory, Comrades. We think we wrapped up the Battle of San Carlos Water....the Battle of Tromso. We started the Swedish Intermission and will be working on it all week. 59,000 words.

We will be devoting some mental energy to non-Red Dawn Thingy ideas today.
