Friday Updates

The Times of Israel reports Israel's battlespace preparation continues. The IDF assassinated several Hamas commanders and carried out a couple of small land and sea raids in Gaza. These seem aimed at anti-tank missile sites, tank traps, etc. The Hamas rocket barrage continues, and there is only one way to stop it. Taking out rocket battalion commanders isn't good enough. The Israelis have to annihilate the battalions.

Iranian proxies are attacking American forces in Iraq and Syria and America retaliated. The Iranian proxy attacks will remain a nuisance until they are not a nuisance. Meaning the United States will put a stop to these attacks, or the Iranians will escalate same. There is a not zero chance of Iranian escalation.

John Podhoretz writes of a planned Hamas protest in Brooklyn on Saturday near a Hasidic neighborhood in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Crown Heights was the scene of Al Sharpton's anti-Jewish pogrom of 1991. The police are advising Jews to stay away from Saturday's protest. We've walked around town in our Israel hat, nothing has happened. What would we do if something did happen? Depends on the offense. This is a global war against Jews.

The campaign against Hamas in America continues. At this point, hanging up posters of kidnapped Israelis is useful for exposing Hamas supporters. Please continue.

The things.

Our people have World War 1990: The Final Storm. We've been working on the back cover text and aren't really happy with it. We don't know why. 'World War 1990: The Final Storm. NATO and her allies have defeated the Soviet Union on land, at sea, and in the air. The Politburo is determined to fight on. The old men in the Kremlin decide to ‘go nuclear’. NATO launches a desperate attack to thwart the Soviet nuclear strike. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, acting on her own, sends the SAS on a suicidal commando raid.' Meh.

We had a tough but good week with World War 1990: Norway. We've clarified, articulated, and enhanced character. We spent most of the week working on the Battle of Tromso, and though the chapter is much better, we are still not satisfied. This is one of those work smarter, not harder situations. We'll walk away from the Battle of Tromso chapter and come back to it in a few weeks for a fresh look.
